HELSINKI (March 27, 2017) – Forbes announced today the launch of Forbes Finland, its first international edition in Nordic countries, in partnership with SK Media Finland (SKF).
The Finnish-language monthly edition, with a circulation of 70,000, will be distributed across Finland beginning on March 28, 2017. The digital app version will launch in May, followed by live events and conferences starting in June 2017. The editorial team in Helsinki is led by experienced business journalists Jouko Marttila and Hannu Vuola.
“The goal of Forbes Finland is to bring fresh new ideas for businesses in Finland and help them overcome the economic difficulties of the past decade,” said Fredrik Nars, Senior Vice President SK Media Finland. “For the launch campaign, we’ve selected the slogan – Changing Business, Changes Finland. We hope the stories in Forbes Finland, some of which will be inspired by the editorial content from Forbes magazine’s 38 editions around the world, will help Finnish entrepreneurs realize their true potential.”
“A well-educated population and an impressive school system are formidable assets which, combined with structural reforms that the government has just began to grapple with, could make Finland an economic powerhouse,” said Steve Forbes in his opinion column for the premier edition of Forbes Finland.
“We’re excited to work with our licensee partner SK Media, with whom we’ve enjoyed a partnership for over seven years, to launch Forbes Finland. This edition establishes Forbes’ presence in Nordic countries at a time of economic growth and opportunity,” said Mike Federle, President and COO of Forbes Media.
